Set within the Sierra Nevada mountain range and surrounded by high alpine peaks, Lake Tahoe is a spectacle unlike any other. Mark Twain described Lake Tahoe as “the fairest picture the whole earth affords.” Fortunately for us, singletrack and fireroads provide exceptional access to this mountain wonderland!
Day One
Our trip begins in Reno, Nevada, where a member of the For The Ride team will greet you and take you by shuttle van to our chosen accommodations - which range from well-appointed cabins to ski lodges and hotels.
Most guests will arrive in the afternoon affording time to get acquainted and enjoy a relaxing meal before many will retire early in anticipation of the adventures to come.
Day Two
After a hearty breakfast, we head out on the trail and ride Tahoe Meadows, the Flume Trail, and reach Incline Village just in time for lunch. Estimated distance is 25 miles / 3 hours. Guests spend the afternoon exploring area lakes on foot or as part of an afternoon ride.
Day Three
Following breakfast, we again hit the trail this time riding Martis Peak to Watson Lake and ending in Tahoe City along the lakeshore. Estimated distance is 22 miles / 3 hours. Lunch at the Tahoe City Marina can be followed by activities at the lake, including fishing, waterskiing, and personal watercraft.

The afternoon is spent hiking unrideable trails, sightseeing, or relaxing at the lake.
Day Five
Today we leave the bikes behind and embark on a whitewater rafting trip down the most exciting part of the Truckee River, over Class 2 - 4 rapids. Local river guides take us down the six mile trip that begins in Tahoe City and ends with refreshments and a story to tell!
Day Six
On our final full day of the trip, we get a slower start, allowing everyone a chance to recover from several great days of riding. After a leisurely morning, we depart for an epic ride to Spooner Summit, following Kingsbury Grade to Stateline. Estimated distance 22 miles / 3 hours. The scenery on this ride will provide some of the images that will stay with you long beyond the end of the trip.
